TrafficData is developing cooperation with the Irkutsk region, combining academic research with practical solution implementation.
The company provides its software to technical university students for research projects and surveys. Using TrafficData solutions for analyzing traffic parameters from CCTV and drone footage, students gain hands-on experience in:
TrafficData collaborates with the regional Transport Laboratory using its Land and Air software to evaluate infrastructure projects, gather traffic and pedestrian flow data automatically, and prepare feasibility studies. These datasets support future project planning, capacity calculations, traffic scheme design, and object certification.
“At the ‘ITS for Regions 2025’ exhibition, we met with Associate Professor Alexey Levashev, Technical Director of the Irkutsk Transport Laboratory, and signed an agreement extending our business partnership. We continue advancing methodological and scientific approaches, conducting joint research, and training specialists to support regional development,” said Dmitry Ponosov, TrafficData’s Commercial Director.
